It looks like Heroes is getting more wicked this season. Robert Knepper, who infamously stirred trouble as T-Bag on Prison Break, has just gotten a promotion on the NBC science fiction drama even though the fourth season hasn't started yet. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the 50-year-old actor has now been upped to series regular.

As previously reported, Knepper has signed on to play Samuel, previous referred to as the "Carnival Barker" in previous releases. And if you've been following our Comic-Con updates, then you're already aware that this leader of a traveling carnival of heroes will attempt to recruit more of our favorite heroes into his group.



Knepper, who originally signed for six episodes and so far has appeared in every episode of Heroes' upcoming fourth season, follows in the footsteps of another villain on the show, Zachary Quinto (Sylar), who also started off as a recurring before becoming one of the show's breakout stars.

Aside from Prison Break, where he played his biggest role yet, Knepper has also made numerous TV appearances on Law & Order, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, La Femme Nikita, New York Undercover, Tour of Duty, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Voyager CSI: Miami and The West Wing and had a recurring role as radio journalist Tommy Dolan on HBO's Carnivale.

In the big screen, Knepper is credited for his work in Blake Edwards' That's Life, Woody Allen's Everyone Says I Love You, D.O.A., Renegades, Young Guns II, Gas Food Lodging, Hostage, Transporter 3, The Day the Earth Stood Still and Good Night, and Good Luck.

Fans can catch Robert Knepper as makes his Heroes debut when the Redemption Volume kicks off with a two-hour premiere on Monday, September 21 on NBC.
