Lisa LoCicero has officially been placed on contract on
General Hospital. The 39-year-old actress has played Olivia Falconeri on the ABC soap since September 2008 and has earned quite a fan following.
With her contract in place, it seems that LoCicero will have a lot on her plate in the near future, especially now that her son Dante is in town while her steamy affair with Johnny continues to heat up. And according to Soaps.com, she is also slated to tape scenes with Megan Ward (Kate) on July 13 for future episodes.
Prior to joining
General Hospital, Lisa LoCicero played Jocelyn Roberts Brown on the ABC daytime soap opera
Loving in 1995. She then stayed with the series when it was spun off as
The City and remained until its cancellation in 1997. In 2001, she played Miral Paris in the
Star Trek Voyager series finale, "Endgame," while, in the big screen, she was cast in
The Family Man and
Rush Hour 2. Three years later, LoCicero auditioned for the character Lois Cerullo on
General Hospital, and was offered the recurring role of Kathryn Fitzgerald on
One Life to Live. With her family in Los Angeles and
One Life to Live taped in New York City, Lo Cicero declined. When
One Life to Live executive producer Frank Valentini later offered Lo Cicero the contract role of Sonia Toledo, she accepted it. However, after head writer Michael Malone was replaced by Dena Higley in late 2004, Lo Cicero and fellow cast member Javier Morga (Tico Santi) were written off the series.
At present, LoCicero's character Olivia is in the mix of a murder mystery involving Mayor Floyd, Brianna Hughs, and Floyd's wife, Andrea on
General Hospital. She has also started a relationship with Johnny Zacchara, although she is twice his age.
