AMC finally confirmed which Walking Dead character will be crossing over to Fear the Walking Dead. It was announced on Sunday night on Talking Dead that Lennie James, who plays fan-favorite Morgan Jones, will be leaving the flagship series at the end of season eight and will be moving on to the spin-off as a series regular for upcoming fourth season.

The much awaited cross-over was announced last month at New York Comic Con by EP Robert Kirkman and now a video has been released to give fans a glimpse of James’ first day on the set of Fear the Walking Dead. In the clip, James confirms his crossover and thanks fans for their support.

Photos of James have also been released, including one where he’s at a table read with co-stars Colman Domingo, Frank Dillane and Alycia Debnam-Carey, and another where he’s on the set with showrunners Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg.

“Lennie James’ brilliance and humanity in his portrayal of Morgan Jones has been part of the DNA of what makes The Walking Dead so fantastic since the very beginning,” said Scott M. Gimple, executive producer for both series. “Morgan’s story will continue in this season of The Walking Dead, and then, it begins again in the upcoming season of Fear the Walking Dead, pushing the series — and the Waking Dead universe itself — into new directions and possibilities.”

How do you feel about Morgan’s crossover? Will you miss him on The Walking Dead?
