Robert Buckley became popular for his role on the telenovela Fashion House, a show centering on business archrivals with themes of greed, lust and ambition. For 65 episodes, he played the role of Michael Bauer. He worked at the House of Gianni, a fashion house located in Los Angeles, and was considered as the photographer with a heart of gold. He was also known to have a crush on model Nikki Clark and was the best friend of Luke Gianni.
Subsequent to Fashion House, Robert Buckley was cast in the movie Archer House. The comedy centered on a young outcast and the cult-like rituals of a Texas sorority. He played the role of Lance, alongside Troian Avery Bellisario and Kirstin Benson.
At present, the former Fashion House actor is part of the drama series American Heiress. This romantic melodrama tells the story of a pampered heiress who survives a plane crash and falls in love with a pilot. Robert Buckley stars as Matthew Wakefield, with Alicia Leigh Willis and Carter MacIntyre as the lead cast members.
Coming this year is the comedy-horror film Dead of Winter, in which Buckley stars the character Nik. Directed by Jeff Fisher, the plot revolves around a reality television shoot that goes wrong as its crew becomes stranded in an isolated town. Unimaginable horror come into play when a killer on the loose stalks the cast and crew members one by one.
Next, he stars on the NBC pilot Lipstick Jungle as Kirby Atwood. Based on the best-selling novel by Candace Bushnell, the upcoming dramedy follows three New York women as they attempt to succeed in their careers, family life, and in finding Mr. Right
