dexterMichael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter can now be added to the list of celebrities who are rumored to be dating.  The news comes as an unexpected twist given that Hall and Carpenter are on-screen siblings on the acclaimed Showtime series, Dexter.

Though it hasn't been confirmed by either party, the news won't seem to die as more and more media outlets are continuing to report about the Dexter co-stars dating.  And when there's smoke, there must be fire.

According to Star Magazine, Hall and Carpenter “have been seeing each other secretly for some time” and have been “keeping it quiet because Michael is still married.”  The controversy has been further ignited when they were spotted dining at Boulevard Lounge in West Hollywood, and enjoying an early Saturday morning pancake breakfast at La Conversation Café in West Hollywood on December 1, 2007.

Page Six also reports that despite their attempt to remain under the radar, people who witnessed the couple couldn't help but be distracted from the way they were acting.  Hall and Carpenter were reportedly “too cozy to just be friends.”

Hall, who plays the title character Dexter Morgan, a Miami-based serial killer who works for the Miami Metro Police Department as a blood pattern analyst, walked down the aisle in 2002 with actress Amy Spanger, whom he worked with in the Broadway musical Chicago.  The couple separated and filed for divorce in 2006.

As for Carpenter, she plays Debra Morgan, Dexter's adoptive sister who also works as a cop for the Miami Metro Police Department.  Prior to Hall, she dated Christian Camargo, who played Rudy Cooper, her boyfriend who turned out to be Dexter's real brother and The Ice Truck Killer in Dexter's first season.

Meanwhile, fans can catch Showtime's Dexter as CBS airs its first season beginning Sunday, February 17 at 10pm.

Yuck! I can’t imagine them together.
