Two among the
Dancing with the Stars professional cast and two celebrity dancers have made it this year's FHM feature, "100 Sexiest Women of 2008," which was just announced on Wednesday.
Karina Smirnoff, paired this season with R&B artist
Mario, was placed at number 78, and
Cheryl Burke, two-time
Dancing with the Stars champ, was ranked the 40th sexiest woman. Burke won seasons 2 and 3 of the show with
Drew Lachey and
Emmitt Smith, respectively, and this year, she is paired with telenovela star
Cristian de la Fuente.
Actress
Shannon Elizabeth came in several places behind Burke, at number 46. Elizabeth is making waves in this season of
Dancing with the Stars with her partner
Derek Hough, as the two were caught canoodling and kissing on a Malibu beach recently.
Actress and former
WWE Diva
Stacy Keibler clocked in at number 64 on the list, one spot ahead of Katie Holmes. Keibler appeared on season 2 of
Dancing with the Stars, in which she and her partner
Tony Dovolani made it all the way to third place.
Rather than finding the list demeaning, Burke was actually pleasantly surprised to find herself on the list.
"It's very flattering. You're making me blush and I'm turning pink like my dress. No, it's awesome. I had no idea," said Burke.
Surprisingly,
Edyta Sliwinska did not make it to the list, even though some other, possibly less-deserving, stars made it, such as Lindsay Lohan (number 16), Kim Kardashian (number 17) and Tara Reid (Really? She's really the 56th hottest woman in the world this year?).
Megan Fox (
Transformers) took top honors as the number one sexiest woman of 2008. Jessica Biel, Jessica Alba, Elisha Cuthbert and Scarlett Johansson join her to make up the top five.
Other than
Dancing with the Stars, NBC's
Heroes also made a respectable showing on the list.
Hayden Panettiere,
Ali Larter and
Kristen Bell are all listed, at 11th, 19th and 24th place, respectively.
Rounding out the bottom of the list is Britney Spears at number 100. See the full list
here.
