Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior.
That's the official name of the buzzed-about
Criminal Minds spin-off starring Forest Whitaker, which, according to
this CM tweet, has received a 13-episode order from CBS. Various sources have confirmed the name of the offshoot, which means it will
not be called
Minds 2.0 as previously speculated.
'Criminal Minds' Finale Inspires Mixed Reactions"It has to get good ratings to get a back order for a complete season," the post said further.
Says
the press release:
Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior will follow "an elite team of agents within the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit who use unconventional methods of investigation and aggressive tactics to capture the nation's most nefarious criminals."
Whitaker has bagged the lead role as unit chief Special Agent Sam Cooper, a "mentally and physically fierce" leader who "strives to avoid political bureaucracy." His "handpicked" and "eclectic" group of profilers will work "outside the confines of Quantico."
The team includes former British Special Forces soldier Mick Rawson (Matt Ryan), a confident, handsome and highly-skilled marksman; John "Prophet" Sims (Michael Kelly), a street-smart ex-con with "Zen-like presence"; and Gina LaSalle (Beau Garrett), a beautiful and tough agent with "a cunning sense of perception."
CBS picked up the
Minds spin-off in May, alongside
Hawaii 5-0,
Bad Bloods,
Defenders and
Mike & Molly.
