Live from Comic-Con: Big Plans for the Future of 'Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog'
Check out the rest of our coverage from San Diego Comic-Con.

There are some writers in the entertainment industry who aren't particularly entertaining when forced to speak, but Joss Whedon is not one of them.  The man is just as witty and hilarious as the characters he brought to life on shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel and Firefly.  Whedon appeared at the San Diego Comic-Con today along with the cast of his latest project, Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog: Neil Patrick Harris, Nathan Fillion, Felicia Day and Simon Helberg.  When the hilarious gang wasn't making penis jokes or dropping F-bombs, they managed to reveal some big plans for the future of the Internet musical.  Could a sequel be in the works?

The biggest news from the panel came from Jed Whedon, who is not only Joss's brother, but also the composer of many of Dr. Horrible's catchy songs.  When a fan asked about a possible sequel to the supervillain sing-along, Jed teased, "the idea is that there will be another part."  He didn't elaborate beyond that, but it sounds like a fourth act could be in the works.

Though a sequel may appear in the distant future, fans can expect a Dr. Horrible soundtrack to appear much sooner.  Whedon revealed that all the songs will be available for download on iTunes within a couple weeks.  As for the upcoming DVD, in addition to other extras it'll also contain 10 video submissions from fans stating why they should be in the Evil League of Evil.  The gang will start accepting submissions online soon, so keep checking DrHorrible.com for updates.

Here are some other highlights from the panel:

-- Oz will appear in the Buffy season 8 comic book in the future.

-- Joss stated that he'd love to bring his character of Fray back for her own comic book series, but he doesn't have the time.

-- Out of all the characters Joss has killed over the years, Joyce from Buffy the Vampire Slayer remains the one that touched him the most.

-- After mentioning Captain Hammer's infamous "the hammer is my penis" line, Fillion joked, "It's actually shaped like a little hammer.  Little, for a hammer."

-- It took Neil Patrick Harris about six hours to learn the opening to Dr. Horrible's "Brand New Day" song.

-- Harris jokingly referred to his time on Doogie Howser as "the heroine years."

-- Fillion revealed that fans can go to this website to see the program Dr. Horrible used to control the van from his iPhone in Act 1.
