On Days of our Lives, Daniel (Shawn Christian) Jonas continues to have strong feelings for Chelsea Brady (Rachel Melvin).  But at the same time, he finds himself drawn to his shared mysterious tryst with Chelsea’s sexy grandmother, Kate (Lauren Koslow). Unbeknownst to Chelsea, he finds himself at the heart of a controversial storyline that has left viewers very much intrigued.

Not much has been revealed about Daniel and Kate’s mysterious past or what is going on between them.  But viewers aren’t the only ones clueless about this.  In fact, even Shawn Christian and Lauren Koslow are also being kept in the dark.

“There’s definitely something bubbling beneath the surface,” Christian told Soap Opera Digest.” “[But as for how long this has been going on] that has yet to be determined.  Lauren and I had scenes yesterday.  We were trying to figure out how long, how many times, and when did this and that happen.  I’m not sure if it’s been clearly defined yet.”

Meanwhile, Christian is enjoying his “surprise storyline” as it gives Days of our Lives an interesting triangle.

“As an actor, you love the adventure.  You want to figure out the unintended consequences of something like this happening… Now it’s, ‘Oh, my God! I’m actually falling for your granddaughter.’ Daniel had no idea that could happen back then… That’s what we need to explore as we go along. I really hope there’s another interesting twist that makes the story different from two people cheating behind someone else’s back,” the Days of our Lives actor said.

Moreover, it also gives Christian the opportunity to work with two very different yet fun actresses.

“They are both a lot of fun.  Rachel [Melvin, Chelsea] likes to figure out these little puzzles.  She likes to see how we can make this our own and create these experiences together.  Lauren is great, too.  We’re trying to create something interesting, too, and she is very open to all sorts of ideas,” he added.
