Back in early December, BuddyTV reported that Quantum Leap and Star Trek: Enterprise actor Scott Bakula would be guest-starring in an episode of ABC’s Boston Legal.  Now, fans of the series will only have to wait one more week to see Bakula interacting with the lawyers of Crane, Poole & Schmidt.  However, those who cannot wait any longer are in for a treat, as Bakula’s episode, “Glow in the Dark,” is up for spoilery today.

Read on only if you want to be spoiled.

In “Glow in the Dark,” Shirley’s (Candice Bergen) friend Andrea wants to sue her town for planning to put up a nuclear power plant.  She asks Alan (James Spader) to represent Andrea, and soon, both Alan and Denny (William Shatner) fall under the spell of the sexually adventurous woman.  Shirley finds out that representing the opposing team is Jack Rice (guest star Scott Bakula), an old flame from college.  After the trial, Shirley and Jack go out for drinks and share a tender moment, which does not go unnoticed by Carl (John Larroquette).

Meanwhile, Leigh (guest star Mary Gross), Jerry’s (Christian Clemenson) girlfriend who also suffers from Asperger’s Syndrome, warns Katie (Tara Summers) to stay away from her man – or else.

Next week’s broadcast of Boston Legal is not the first time viewers will see Scott Bakula and Bergen together onscreen.  Bakula played the occasional love interest of Bergen’s eponymous character on the hit sitcom, Murphy Brown.

Also guest-starring in “Glow in the Dark” are Henry Gibson (Malcolm in the Middle) as Judge Clark Brown, Alison LaPlaca (Grey’s Anatomy) as Andrea Michelle and George Wyner (Journeyman, Desperate Housewives) as Al Bostick.

Glow in the Dark was written by Boston Legal creator David E. Kelley and Lawrence Broch (Roseanne), and directed by Vondie Curtis Hall (The Shield, Firefly).  It is the show’s second to the last pre-strike episode.

Catch Boston Legal every Tuesday night at 10pm on ABC.
