This holiday season, many celebs will jet set out of the country on expensive vacations but America’s Next Top Model host Tyra Banks plans on staying put. Instead of treating herself and overindulging, she’s decided to look out for her employees, who need a little extra help during the current economic crisis. “I gotta take care of my people. Hotel prices are at a peak. Because of what’s going on with the economy I’ve decided not to take that vacation,” she says in an interview with Ebony magazine. “So I was like, I’ll just chill. I’m doing a ‘stay-cation’. Staying in the States.”

Despite the fact that she earned millions in 2007, Tyra says that she knows the value of money and doesn’t like to spend outrageous amounts on things. “I’m all about value,” she admits. “For instance, I’m decorating a new apartment in New York right now, and I have a meeting with the designer and I’m going to tell him, ‘I don’t care how much money they say I make in a year. It could be more, it could be less. But you don’t need to be looking at that number and spending my money as if it is yours.'”

Besides dishing on her money and how she spends it, Tyra also opened up about her love life. “One thing I can say is I try not to date people who are famous because one celebrity equals five…I get set up by friends,” she said. She also responded to the claims by the media that’s on her way to becoming the next Oprah. “Oprah’s been doing this for 30 years,” she said. “Mogul? That’s like Martha Stewart. That’s like going public. Mogul? Not yet.”
