Kendall (Alicia Minshew), on the other hand, had terrifying visions of her loved ones being forced to testify against her, while Zach and Ryan (Cameron Mathison) feared that Kendall might do something that will only make her troubles worse. Moreover, Annie (Melissa Claire Egan) stopped Adam (David Canary) from calling the cops on Aidan (Aiden Turner) after he's caught spying on them, and later reached her breaking point as she started to strangle Erica (Susan Lucci).

Chrishell Stause Not Leaving 'All My Children'

May 28, 2009

Chrishell Stause, who plays Amanda Dillon on All My Children, has made it clear in recent weeks that she plans to leave the ABC soap at the end of her contract. Evidently, her decision to bow out is entirely hers and not a case of show executives wanting to pull the plug on her character.

But it seems that Stause will be sticking around Pine Valley after all. According to Soap Central, the 27-year-old actress has opted to extend her contact after ABC gave her an offer she can't refuse.

All My Children: Not in Danger of Cancellation

January 8, 2009

Contrary to ongoing reports, All My Children was never in danger of coming to an untimely demise unlike some of its villainous characters.  A spokesperson for ABC Daytime disproved rumors reported by TV Guide Canada that the network came "this close to canceling AMC.  Real close. Scary close."  When the news swept across the internet, many fans of All My Children started to worry.

Aside from reports that ABC nearly pulled the plug on All My Children, there were other factors that contributed to fans' fears.  First of all, the show's ratings have eroded steadily over the past few years, and even the top-rated The Young and the Restless has recently been forced to trim its operating budget.  Additionally, there was talk about All My Children's ailing financial situation with Brian Frons, president of daytime for Disney-ABC Television Group, confirming that the network is having to "negotiate salaries down," including daytime's best-known diva, Susan Lucci (Erica Kane).

'All My Children' Sets Return Dates for Recurring Cast Members

December 25, 2008

Early next year, a lot of recurring characters will be resurfacing on Pine Valley as All My Children sets the return dates for Alicia Minshew, Colin Egglesfield, Tonya Pinkins and Elizabeth Rodriguez.

Minshew, who plays Kendall Hart on All My Children, took a two-month hiatus from the show, and pre-taped scenes out of their normal sequence so that she would not be off-screen for her entire two-month hiatus.  The hiatus coincided with the return of Eden Riegel to   as Bianca Montgomery, who filled the void left by Kendall's temporary absence. Minshew recently signed a new contract with the show after rumors of her possible departure from All My Children began circulating.  She'll be returning on the set of the soap on Friday, January 9 and will finally appear on the canvas by the end of January.
