Biography

American actress Alexie Gilmore was born in Manhattan, New York, and later moved to New Jersey. Raised in Tenafly, she attended Tenafly High School and Allentown College. She was also educated at DeSales University in Center Valley, Pennsylvania. Developing an interest in acting, she decided to pursue a career in the field. She tried out for various roles, later going to auditions and earning parts in shows.

Alexie Gilmore’s first appearance on screen was in the drama-comedy Famous, a do!$#!#entary also featuring Laura Kirk, Sandra Bullock, Carrie Fisher, Griffin Dunne and Daniel London. Gilmore’s career began to flourish when she appeared on an episode of Rescue Me. Her next projects became short films, which include The Anger Eater and Nicky’s Game. She was also seen in the film Find Love, before she was given roles in series like Conviction and Love Monkey. In 2006, she worked on the drama Cosa Bella and was a guest on the series Hope & Faith. She had a small part on the blockbuster The Devil Wears Prada as well. Gilmore followed this up with a performance on Law & Order: Criminal Intent, and the comedy I Do & I Don’t. In 2007, she was seen in the drama The Babysitters, written and directed by David Ross. That year, she acted alongside Rosario Dawson in the thriller Descent. The next year, Alexie Gilmore joined the cast of the series New Amsterdam, where she played the role of Dr. Sara Dillane. She has also made an appearance on the series Wainy Days, playing the character Tamara on the episode “Sublet.” She later starred with Ryan Reynolds, Abigail Breslin and Elizabeth Banks on the romantic comedy Definitely, Maybe. Her next film became The 27 Club, a drama written and directed by Erica Dunton, and starring Joe Anderson and David P. Emrich.
