Born on December 5, 1969 in New York City, actress Alex Kapp Horner became known to many audiences for her work on television. Growing up in New York City, she attended the Chaplin’s School and later majored in history at Dartmouth College. Pursuing her interest in acting, she started her career in Los Angeles, where she became a member of The Groundlings comedy troupe. She acquired many experiences while there, and she was soon brought into the spotlight.
Alex Kapp Horner built up her resume, beginning with parts on several TV productions. In 1994, she had a small role on Deconstructing Sarah, a horror directed by Craig R. Baxley. The next year, she landed a part on A Mother’s Prayer, before working on the thriller film Professional Affair. Her next appearances were on shows like Party of Five and Lost on Earth, and she was later seen on an episode of JAG. In 1998, she was given the role of Maura on the Seinfeld episode, “Strongbox.” She continued her string of guest appearances, being seen on Friends, as a regular cast member on Maggie Winters, and ER. She later worked with the cast of Spin City, as well as Will & Grace and Presidio Med. In 2003, Horner got a role in the TV movie These Guys, narrated by Tim Allen. She followed this up with a role in Rock Me, Baby, portraying the character Lorraine in the episode “Pretty in Pink Eye.” She also had a part on the romantic comedy Lucky 13, in 2005. Her next big role came when she joined the cast of the Comedy series The New Adventures of Old Christine, playing the character Lindsay. She also signed on for the comedy production, Weather Girl, starring Jon Cryer, Jane Lynch and Mark Harmon. Alex Kapp Horner married Christian Horner, who is the Vice President of Information Technology for Ticketmaster.
