Still in anticipation of 24's eighth season, and still counting down the new members of the series' cast, well, chalk up another one.  T.J. Ramini has taken a recurring slot on the show, appearing as Tarin Karoush, an associate of Omar Hassan, the Middle Eastern peacekeeper played by Slumdog Millionaire star Anil Kapoor.

And that's another one for the cast of the upcoming (and New York-bound) season of 24.  Actor Clayne Crawford has signed on to star as man who's played a significant part in the past of CTU analyst Dana Walsh, to be played by Katee Sackhoff.  The catch?  Dana's past has been played up quite a handful of times, as something that she's bent to hide.

I know you all have been dying to hear who will be at this year's Comic Con. I have some good news for all the Twilight and Supernatural fans out there. Although guest lists haven't been confirmed yet, both camps will be present for panels, which is no surprise. Other Comic Con essentials confirmed are Chuck, Lost, Fringe, True Blood, Smallville, Vampire Diaries, and the new Peter Jackson flick District 9.

A lot is made of the overwhelming number of great leading roles for women on cable, but if the official Emmy ballots are any indication, women are still a minority when it comes to starring TV roles.  On the official ballot sent to Emmy voters, there are 70 contenders for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series, but only 48 for the Lead Actress category.

But the numbers don't help the major networks.  Despite the fact that more than 60 percent of the potential nominees come from the five major networks, it's the cable guys and gals who take the lead at the Emmys.

Make that one more name for the cast of the eighth season of 24: former Battlestar Galactica star Katee Sackhoff is jumping into the award-winning action series, which is headed to the Big Apple by January next year.

Her character?  Sources told Entertainment Weekly that she'll play Dana Walsh, a highly respected yet down-to-earth data analyst at the revived CTU's New York branch.  The role also has a love interest tied to it--her character will be romantically involved with Davis Cole, CTU's field ops head and Jack Bauer wannabe which will be (still surprisingly) played by Freddie Prinze Jr.

Throw in another name to the cast of the eighth season of 24--and, this time, they've finally chosen a successor to Bill Buchanan.

Mykelti Williamson is set to join the award-winning action series as Brian Hastings, the new boss of a revived CTU.  His character is described as being an MBA graduate with a razor-sharp intellect.
