While the major networks are planning their fall schedules, TNT and TBS got into the mix today with announcements of their new line-ups, including a spin-off of The Closer and a new Brian Austin Green comedy.

TNT has ordered 10 episodes of Major Crimes, a spin-off of The Closer centered on Mary McDonnell’s character, Captain Raydor. The network is also busy with plenty of other new shows, including the crime procedural Perception starring Eric McCormack as well as shows about a family of cops in the Pacific Northwest, a drama set at a Detroit radio station, and a series about a reporter turned private eye in Baltimore based on the Tess Monaghan series of books by Laura Lippman.

These shows are added to TNT’s very busy schedule that includes The Closer, Rizzoli and Isles, Men of a Certain Age, Leverage, HawthoRNe, Memphis Beat, Southland and the new shows Franklin and Bash and Falling Skies.

TBS, meanwhile, is getting back into the original comedy game with The Wedding Band, about a group of musicians starring Brian Austin Green, Lost‘s Harold Perrineau and The Office‘s Melora Hardin.

The network is also planning a week of Conan on the road in New York to celebrate his one year anniversary with TBS.
