Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried are officially married. The couple wed in a romantic ceremony on January 18 in Palos Verdes, California, less than two years after Chris popped the question to Desiree in the season 9 finale of The Bachelorette.

“So excited for the big day! @DesHartsock and I can’t wait to share with everyone! #countdown #9days #hopingforsun,” Chris tweeted on January 15.

“Once Chris and I got engaged we started talking about the wedding right away — probably before the finale even aired,” Desiree told Us Weekly prior to her wedding. “We talked about what we would want and pieced together both of our ideas.”

“I’m most excited to walk down the aisle and see Chris,” she added. “And then of course to get down on the dance floor with him!”

Chris, a mortgage banker, competed for bridal stylist Desiree in The Bachelorette season 9 in 2013. Since getting engaged in the finale, the two have been living together in Seattle. Last October, the couple revealed that they intend to tie the knot in January 2015 though they did not reveal an exact date. They made the announcement official by sharing a quick video on Instagram. “It has been one incredible journey with the love of my life thus far but I cannot wait to marry him and start another chapter,” Desiree said.

Unlike previous Bachelor/Bachelorette weddings, Chris and Desiree’s big day was not televised for fans.
