The wait is over: Taylor Frankie Paul, star of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, has officially been revealed as the lead for season 22 of The Bachelorette. The 31-year-old mom of three shared the news on the Call Her Daddy podcast. She spoke with Alex Cooper on September 10, 2025.

Paul rose to fame as a #MomTok influencer. Her personal life and controversies later became the subject of Hulu’s reality series. On the podcast, she described the moment as “surreal” and admitted it still didn’t feel real. “It’s not going to be until I think the limo is pulling up and meeting the people,” she said.

Who Is Taylor Frankie Paul?

Paul first went viral in 2022 when she revealed her divorce from husband Tate Paul, sparking a soft-swinging scandal that rocked the MomTok community. Since then, her life has been chronicled on Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. Here, viewers followed her ups and downs with former boyfriend Dakota Mortensen and their son, Ever. She also shares two children, Indy and Ocean, with Tate Paul.

Despite concerns about co-parenting and managing two “baby daddies,” Paul confirmed she is determined to make the new role work. “If you want to, you can, and it comes down to that,” she told Cooper. She added that she plans to lean on help from family and friends.

The Announcement and Reactions

Host Alex Cooper teased the news with a series of cryptic Instagram posts, including a cake reveal captioned, “Change of plans 🌹.” When the official reveal came, Paul admitted her family was “shocked” but ultimately excited. Her costars on Secret Lives of Mormon Wives also expressed positive support, though Paul admitted she can’t predict every reaction.

Paul said the idea of becoming the Bachelorette started as a joke on TikTok three years ago, but it quickly became a reality after a meeting with producers. “I still didn’t believe it until I got the invitation,” she said. “Shaking, pacing back and forth. There’s no way, no way.”

What’s Next for The Bachelorette

ABC confirmed earlier this year that The Bachelorette would not air in July as it had for the past three seasons. Instead, fans will have to wait until 2026 for Paul’s season to premiere. Franchise host Jesse Palmer has assured audiences that the pause isn’t unusual and promised that when the series returns, it will be “absolutely tremendous.”

Jenn Tran, who made history as the first Asian American Bachelorette in season 21, supported the decision to delay the show’s return. Tran suggested that airing outside of the summer travel season could provide better visibility for Paul’s journey.

Meanwhile, Secret Lives of Mormon Wives will return for season 3 on Hulu on November 13, 2025, meaning Paul will continue balancing both reality TV projects as she steps into her most high-profile role yet.
