Imagine–two hours of Clark, Lois, Oliver, Chloe, Zod, and Tess along with legions of the Justice Society uninterrupted! (Well, excepting commercials.) Believe it or not the executives over at The CW might actually be showing Smallville some love.

With the promising numbers coming in this season, EW reported this morning that “The CW has decided to package Smallville’s upcoming (and highly-anticipated) Justice-society-themed-two-parter into a two-hour movie event airing on Jan. 29.”

If you follow casting news and all that jazz, you know that Geoff Johns and Glen Winter combined their talents once again for the episodes titled “Society” and “Legends”–episodes involving intrepid DC Comics characters Stargirl (Britt Irvin), Hawkman (Michael Shanks), Dr. Fate (Brent Stait), and Martian Manhunter (Phil Morris).

Originally intended as separate installments, the powers that be determined the episodes might pack more punch (and garner a greater audience) if combined. So clear your calendars, set your DVRs, and invite all your friends. Friday, January 29 is the night of nights. The countdown starts now!
