The oil-soaked drama Landman is set to return this fall, and the newly released teaser makes clear that season two is raising the stakes. Paramount+ confirmed the premiere date as Sunday, November 16, 2025, with new episodes dropping weekly.

A Big Oil Empire Shifts Hands

Season one ended with the shocking death of Jon Hamm’s Monty Miller, leaving Billy Bob Thornton’s Tommy Norris poised to inherit both the company and the chaos. Now, the second season positions Demi Moore’s Cami—Monty’s widow—as a formidable partner and rival. As she boldly warns investors, “The only difference between me and my husband is I’m meaner.” Meanwhile, Tommy declares, “She owns the company, but I run it,” foreshadowing a combustible clash of wills.

Sam Elliott Joins the Cast

The Landman season 2 trailer also reveals the arrival of Sam Elliott, returning to Taylor Sheridan’s storytelling world after his celebrated turn in 1883. He joins a cast that already includes Ali Larter as Angela, Michelle Randolph as Ainsley, and Jacob Lofland. Angela’s reconciliation with Tommy adds emotional weight, while Ainsley’s looming departure for college raises new stakes for the Norris family.

Violence, Family, and Cartel Ties

Ali Larter teased that the new season will be a “rollercoaster,” blending family bonds with escalating outside pressures. A key new storyline involves Tommy’s uneasy partnership with a cartel leader played by Andy Garcia. As Larter put it, “You hold the heart of the show being the family, and then you have all these other storylines. It’s game on.” The trailer hints at violence erupting both in boardrooms and oil fields, keeping with the show’s reputation for high-octane drama.

Behind the Scenes

Landman was co-created by Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace, based on the Boomtown podcast. Sheridan, along with David C. Glasser, David Hutkin, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, and several others, serves as executive producer. The series is produced by Paramount Television Studios, 101 Studios, and Sheridan’s Bosque Ranch Productions, with global distribution handled by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
