Anything based on a comic book has to have a ton of merchandise surrounding it, so it’s fitting that a series inspired by comic books would have its own action figure line.  Thanks to Mezco toys, fans of NBC’s Heroes will soon be able to pick up their own seven-inch tall recreations of their favorite characters.  The first set being released will include Claire in her cheerleader outfit, Peter Petrelli, Hiro with his trusty sword, Sylar preparing to strike, and Mohinder readying us for some exposition.  There will also be a special variant figure released exclusively by Diamond Comics that features Peter Petrelli in flight mode.  Now that we have some photos of this exciting batch of figures, you can judge for yourself how well they resemble the actors from the series.

First up is the Sylar (Zachary Quinto) figure, which comes with accessories including a brain, a glass shooting hand, and a baseball cap:

Next is Hiro (Masi Oka), who comes with a sword and a messenger bag:

The Claire (Hayden Panettiere) figure includes a wounded head and a wounded arm in addition to her uninjured body parts:

The Mohinder (Sendhil Ramamurthy) figure includes an “Activating Evolution” book and a messenger bag:

Finally, the Peter Petrelli (Milo Ventimiglia) figure comes with glowing hands and a messenger bag:

All figures also come with a recreation of one of Isaac Mendez’s paintings.  The figures currently don’t have a set release date, but will hopefully be in stores sometime in May.
