Miley Cyrus doesn’t seem to be the type to be worried about her looks, but the Hannah Montana star’s most recent experience might convince her otherwise.  Over the weekend, a saleswoman mistook the 16-year-old pop star for a middle-aged mother.  She even tried to sell Cyrus a jar of anti-wrinkle cream.

While it didn’t seem to be such a big deal at first, Miley got more and more embarrassed as the situation escalated.  She was merely out with her 8-year-old sister, Noah, and didn’t expect such a shameful (but admittedly humorous) incident to occur.

“I had this lady walk up to me and try to sell me wrinkle cream,” Miley Cyrus explained in an interview with The Sun.  “I wasn’t offended until she started to say that I looked good for my age.  She thought I was 40.”

It didn’t stop there though.  Miley had her bodyguard with her, and the saleslady jumped to even more conclusions.  “I was with a bodyguard, who she thought was my husband, and my little sister, who she thought was my daughter!”

Cyrus added that the woman kept talking to Noah Cyrus, “She called out ‘Oh you look just like your mommy.”
Eventually, the woman learned the truth as the Hannah Montana actress cleared things up.  “I had to set her straight: “Ok lady, that is NOT my husband, that is NOT my child and I am NOT 40, I’m 16.’”

Perhaps this is a case of kids growing up too fast these days, or does Miley Cyrus really look as if she’s – to put it nicely – mature for her age?  While some of us ponder that incredibly gripping question, enjoy this new clip released by Disney, from Hannah Montana: The Movie – hitting theaters on April 10.  Below, you can see Miley being interviewed on a segment of Disney’s Movie Surfers.
