Rumors about Kenya Moore quitting The Real Housewives of Atlanta surfaced after she didn’t make the trip to Barcelona, Spain with the rest of the cast in season 10. According to gossip website Tamara Tattles, some of the housewives convinced producers to include Kim Zolciak in the trip in place of Moore, who was reportedly was asked to be left behind.

However, Zolciak still didn’t make the trip. The Don’t Be Tardy star addressed the issue on Instagram, explaining the reason for her absence.

“WAS packing to leave the country then had a choice AND I decided,” she wrote. “I’ll be headed out for #DontBeTardy press instead! Season 6 premieres October 6th 8pm on @Bravotv #WhenYourOWNShowCalls… #SomeNeedToJustGiveItUp #ArentYouTired #Season6 #IAlwaysHaveAChoice.”

While Zolciak opted to stay behind, Moore still didn’t join the cast. Coincidentally, former America’s Next Top Model winner Eva Marcille officially joined the cast and was included in the excusion. Despite what it appears to be, a production souce tells Us Weekly, “Kenya has not quit the show, nor has she been fired.”

Moore’s marriage to Marc Daly is one of the controversial topics in the upcoming season of RHOA. It is also allegedly part of the reason behind Moore’s exclusion from the trip.

“Her husband is a former investment banker who has never sought the spotlight,” the source told Us Weekly. “However, he wants to support his new bride and her career … apparently not fast enough.”

“Kenya was pulled from the cast trip last-minute and Bravo may be playing a bit of hardball to get Kenya’s new husband on the show by limiting her on-air appearances,” the source added. “Kenya is a newlywed and has to respect her new husband’s wishes to not be part of the show. Kenya has been trying to have a baby and the stress has caused her unnecessary emotional distress.”

Moore has not responded to the rumor directly but she did share a post on Instagram that seems to address the issue.
