The photos show a cast CBS clearly designed around contrasts. There is a bartender, a Jumbotron engineer, a supply chain analyst, a surgical dental assistant, a telemedicine executive, a drag queen, an MMA fighter, a boutique salesperson, an attorney, a rocket scientist, a corporate game show host, a pickleball coach, an elementary school counselor, and a financial analyst.
That job mix matters because Big Brother usually turns labels into targets. This group already knows it. In pregame interviews, several Houseguests talked openly about hiding intelligence, downplaying professions, or using charm before the knives come out.

Reported Surprise Players Could Change the Board
The initial CBS rollout focused on 14 Houseguests, but pre-premiere coverage also included two familiar reality names. Rick Devens, known from Survivor: Edge of Extinction Season 38 and Survivor 50, was reported as a full-fledged Houseguest. He finished fourth in his reality TV debut and seventh on Survivor 50.
Angela Murray was also included in pre-premiere coverage. She became the first Head of Household on Big Brother 26, clashed with Matt Hardeman, was nominated seven times, and later appeared on The Amazing Race 38 with her daughter Lexie Murray. If both players fully enter the game, the newbies lose the clean-slate advantage immediately.
Who Has the Strongest Early Profile?
On paper, Barrett, Ashley, Jason, LaTrice, and Chuk look like social-first players. That can work early, especially in a house where everyone needs fast numbers. However, obvious superfandom can become dangerous. Barrett says he has watched the live feeds since he was eight, while Jason has studied alliances after his Drag Race experience.
The competition threats are just as visible. Kamu has UFC experience and says he has had 11 or 12 MMA-related surgeries. Lyric goes to the gym at 5:00 a.m. and again at 5:00 p.m. Mallory brings the rocket scientist label, while Rome admits he wants to win challenges and talk trash.
Meanwhile, Taylor’s “Big B Blowout” may be the strangest named strategy in the group. Still, it shows she has thought beyond vague promises to “be social.” Yash is harder to read, partly because his rollout centers on mystery and partly because he is deliberately not giving away much.
Premiere, Live Feeds, and Time Trip Details
The Big Brother: Time Trip theme centers the season on the past, present, and future. Julie Chen Moonves said time travel “could go forwards or backwards,” and CBS is positioning the theme around new powers, challenges, and game mechanics.
The house also has the usual surveillance overload: 94 HD cameras and 113 microphones recording activity around the clock. After premiere week, new episodes are expected Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays at 8 PM ET/PT. Big Brother: Unlocked premieres Friday, July 10, at 8 PM ET/PT, and the first Sunday episode airs July 12 at 8 PM ET/PT.
Live feeds begin Friday, July 10, at 9 PM ET/6 PM PT after Big Brother: Unlocked. Paramount+ subscribers can watch feeds through the app or ParamountPlus.com. Feeds will also stream on Pluto TV and, for a limited time after each episode, on the official Big Brother YouTube channel.
Season 28 also brings a milestone. CBS says Big Brother becomes the first primetime television series to reach 1,000 original episodes. That helps explain why the season is leaning into franchise memory, from Dan’s Funeral to The Cookout and Taylor Hale’s finale speech.
