The Semifinals are set for September 16 and 17 on NBC, following four weeks of Quarterfinals that run through September 10. Deseret News also reiterates that only three acts advance from each Quarterfinal night.
How the 2025 voting and Golden Buzzer twists work
- America’s Vote: The 11 Quarterfinal acts perform; the top three vote-getters advance.
- Live Golden Buzzer (Quarterfinals): One judge per week can send an act straight to the Finale.
- New Semifinal Golden Buzzer: One act in the Semifinals will jump directly to the Finale.
According to NBC, the Semifinals will determine seven Finalists. They will join the four Quarterfinal Golden Buzzer acts to make up the Finale lineup.
