Release Date, Time, and Where to Watch
Episode 6 premiered on September 9 at 8 PM ET for cable audiences on FX and for streaming subscribers via Hulu. Disney+ carried the episode at the same time, extending access to a global audience. International fans were also able to tune in, with premieres rolling out across time zones — including 1 AM in the UK, 5:30 AM in India, and 12 PM in New Zealand. Recap of Episode 5
Before diving into “The Fly,” it’s worth remembering Episode 5’s harrowing events. The previous episode revisited the doomed USS Maginot, where containment of the Xenomorphs failed catastrophically. Most of the crew perished, including Captain Zoya, killed by a Xenomorph. Only Morrow survived, finding refuge in the impact chamber. The closing moments teased an ominous alliance as Yutani declared that Morrow’s loyalty spelled the downfall of Boy Kavalier.
Episode 6 Storyline
Episode 6 shifts the focus back to the fallout of the Weyland-Yutani ship’s crash. Boy Kavalier (Samuel Blenkin) clashes with Yutani (Sandra Yi Sencindiver) over alien samples, intensifying the corporate struggle. Meanwhile, Wendy (Sydney Chandler), the hybrid character, begins communicating with the Xenomorphs, creating an unsettling bridge between humanity and alien life. Her brother, Hermit (Alex Lawther), watches the fragile alliance unfold. This chapter expands on the series’ central themes of corporate control and human survival in a hostile future.

How Many Episodes Are Left?
The series comprises eight episodes in total. With Episode 6 now released, only two more episodes remain this season. The first two episodes debuted together on August 12, with the rest airing weekly. Fans can expect the tension to escalate as the finale approaches.
Season 2 Possibility
Although Alien: Earth has not yet been renewed for a second season, FX executives have indicated optimism. Chairman John Landgraf hinted that Noah Hawley was encouraged to map out at least two seasons before returning to his work on Fargo. As of now, no official announcement has been made, leaving the show’s future uncertain but hopeful.
With its mix of interstellar horror, corporate power struggles, and hybrid experimentation, Alien: Earth Episode 6 pushes the story into darker, more complex territory. As Wendy’s connection with the Xenomorphs deepens and power battles rage, the season’s final two episodes promise to be explosive.
