The Jonas Brothers Christmas movie — officially A Very Jonas Christmas Movie — is streaming now on Disney+ and Hulu as of November 14, 2025. Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas, and Nick Jonas play heightened versions of themselves racing from London to New York to make it home for the holidays, with musical pit stops, meta jokes, and plenty of real-life cameos sprinkled in.

Release & where to watch

Television critic Robert Lloyd finds the film “good company,” praising its “self-deprecating” humor, an “international” backdrop, and a “wintry” mood. He also frames the premise as “Planes, Trains and Automobiles” minus Steve Martin and John Candy — plus the Jonas Brothers, Christmas, and magic. (Los Angeles Times)

Plot: Santa’s spell and a very Jonas detour

Very Jonas Christmas Movie poster

After a final concert on December 23, Joe vents to a bearded stranger in a red jacket — Santa Claus, played by Jesse Tyler Ferguson — who “immediately casts a spell” that keeps the brothers together until they reconnect. Flights are blown up before boarding, storms close Heathrow, and a Paris-bound train somehow lands them in Amsterdam. Joe reconnects with childhood friend Chloe Bennet, while Nick trades barbs and a musical duel with Andrew Barth Feldman

The movie underlines each brother’s persona with deadpan riffs. “You’re the uptight, responsible one,” Joe tells Nick. Kevin pegs Joe as the “lovable tramp,” while Nick needles Kevin as “human cardboard.” And when Joe suggests going out after the show, Nick fires back: “We are three extremely exhausted dads in our 30s — how epic could it be?”

Cast & confirmed family cameos

  • Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas, Nick Jonas play themselves; Jesse Tyler Ferguson is Santa; Chloe Bennet, Andrew Barth Feldman, Billie Lourd, Laverne Cox, and Andrea Martin appear along the way.
  • Will Ferrell pops in as a superfan with his real family — wife Viveca Paulin and sons Magnus (21), Mattias (18), and Axel (15) — in the opening sequence.
  • Kevin Jonas’ daughters Alena (11) and Valentina (9) make their film debuts. On the Nov. 10 New York red carpet, mom Danielle Jonas said of Valentina, “She’s actually very shy, but then when the camera came out I saw, like, a new person on her,” adding of Alena, “She’s always loved the whole acting, kind of theater thing.”
  • Nick Jonas’ daughter Malti, 3½, appears briefly with Priyanka Chopra Jonas in the finale after an earlier FaceTime moment. (People)

Who made it & how it plays

A Very Jonas Christmas movie release

The caper is directed by Jessica Yu with a script by Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger. Reviewer Abby Monteil clocks a brisk 78-minute runtime and notes “seven short-ish songs,” observing that the staging sometimes defaults to “a leisurely stroll,” though there are still “a handful of laughs.”

Music & vibe

With pop architect Justin Tranter guiding the soundtrack, the movie leans into quick, story-forward numbers and a knowing tone. Decider positions it as a self-aware, brother-bonding road comedy with catchy tunes and a crowd-pleasing turn from Feldman — and recommends streaming. (Decider)

Joe Jonas’ kids: Do they appear?

Fans specifically wondering about Joe Jonas’ kids won’t spot them on screen here. The movie instead threads Joe through a fictional romance opposite Chloe Bennet, while Kevin and Nick share moments with their real families. (The Daily Beast)

The verdict on the Jonas Christmas movie

Lloyd calls the trio “natural, genuine actors,” even if “a little breeze would blow the plot away.” Monteil is cooler on the execution but grants “a handful of laughs.” If you want cameos, gentle meta humor, and holiday warmth under 90 minutes, A Very Jonas Christmas Movie delivers easy comfort.

Analysis: The family-first cameos are the point, and they work. The Santa device gives the brothers a breezy, city-hopping frame that’s most charming when real families fold into the joke. As of November 15, 2025, a Frankie Jonas cameo is not confirmed in the sources we reviewed.
