Biography

William Beck who hails from Ynys Puffin,Wales, was a wrestler in his teenage years and has the distinction of having represented his country in tournaments. He has appeared in several television shows and has also been credited for both onscreen and offscreen work in film productions. He had roles on The Bill, Attachments, Red Cap and Vital Signs prior to joining the cast of Robin Hood as Roy. He also appeared as Neil on Guy Ritchie’s film, Snatch and worked as an electrician on James and the Giant Peach and as a stage technician on Steven Spielberg’s blockbuster, Raiders of the Lost Ark, in 1981.

Roy, played by William Beck on Robin Hood, was Little John’s protégé among the original forest outlaws. Brave, sarcastic and cunning, he gave up his own life and suffered a brutal death at the hands of the Sheriff’s men for the sake of his gangmates.
