Fans will have to bid farewell to Kris and Junior as Wildfire concludes tonight after a four-year run. The teen drama, which premiered on June 20, 2005, revolves around the world of horse racing and a young girl named Kris Furillo, who, after serving time in a juvenile detention facility, works as a stablehand and later a jockey at Raintree Farm. While at Raintree, Kris discovers romance and competition with Raintree's rivals, the prestigious Davis Farm, all while rising to stardom in the racing world.
In the first part of the series finale episode called “The Ties That Bind,” which aired last week, Junior got back from his business trip and was offered a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to relocate to Alaska for a year to work on a geothermal project, before Kris gets one last race on Wildfire in the Tucker Stakes. Kris and Junior finally announced their plans to get married after the race. Unfortunately, all the merriment was short-lived as they discover that Wildfire has been stolen.

ABC Family's horse racing drama Wildfire is returning with brand-new episodes tonight, kicking off the new year with the fourth season opener called "The More Things Change." Tonight's episode is the first half of a two-parter that will conclude next Monday, January 28.
In "The More Things Change, part 1," Kris (Genevieve Cortese) is still banned from Raintree after participating in an illegal race six months ago. Raintree has gone through significant operational changes, which makes Matt (Micah Alberti) long for the past.
