After the daring season finale that saw Neal break his parole - at Peter‘s suggestion and permission - it was assumed that he wouldn‘t just be able to reenter the FBI fold and have his old job back. There had to be repercussions. Tonight‘s episode showed the audience what those repercussions were, but they don‘t fall on Neal--instead, Peter is the one who pays the price.
