Who Wants to be a Superhero?s second season came to an end tonight, and a new ‘Superhero legend in waiting was crowned, but not before the producers and Sci Fi channel figured out how to stretch the finale to its limits. What we were expecting to be two solid packed hours of competition turned out to be a painfully plodding mess. But hey, the camp dial was on 11, and Mr. Lee did not fail to deliver.

It is the last Who Wants to be a Superhero? before the epic two hour finale next week. The final four are Parthenon, Hygena, Hyper Strike, and the Defuser. With the past few weeks performances to reflect on, you might think this week is an easy one to predict, but in fact things went surprisingly wrong for one fledgling comic book character. Also, this week Dr. Dark unveiled evil Stan. Let the camp begin.

SciFi Channel has added a new dimension to the second season of its campy hit Who Wants to be a Superhero?, and this angle is a little more down to earth. The show currently courts individuals who create a character for themselves, complete with super power, who then compete through elimination trials. The winner gets a comic book based on their character and presumably a made for SciFI channel film. With the second season, SciFI will be opening the contest to at-home creators as well.
