What I Like About You follows the lives of two sisters – Valerie Tyler and her younger sibling, Holly, who live together in Valerie’s New York apartment. Valerie is a straight-laced, uptight, highly organized and slightly neurotic twentysomething while Holly is a rambunctious and spontaneous teenager. Forced to share living space when Holly refuses to relocate to Tokyo where their father has taken on a job, the two polar opposites must find a way to co-exist despite their differences. This all takes place just when Valerie’s life couldn’t get any more picture perfect. She finally has her dream job, an Upper West side flat and her choice of eligible men to date, when her neatly mapped out life gets thrown into chaos upon Holly’s arrival.
