When we last saw Betty Suarez (America Ferrera), she was caught up in a whirlwind with her career on a roll and her love life going on overdrive. She was torn between Henry Grubstick (Christopher Gorham), who asked her to marry him and Gio Rossi (Freddy Rodrguez), who asked her to come to Rome with him. Finally, after months of waiting, fans will get to see Betty’s decision, as she makes her move on September 25, at 8pm on ABC.
After two successful seasons of Ugly Betty, fans can’t wait to see what the creator and producers have up their sleeve. While some see the second season as an underwhelming one, one actor thinks that the show will have more spunk than ever this season, and it will prove to be an enduring show. Michael Urie, who plays Marc St. James, recently told the Press Association, “Betty will be around for a long long time - I think we could go for a while.”

During the second season of Ugly Betty, we saw a lot of developments involving the relationships of several characters on the show. Betty (America Ferrera) herself had to make some life-changing decisions, while her sister Hilda (Ana Ortiz) moved on from the death of Santos (Kevin Alejandro), the father of her flamboyant son, Justin (Mark Indelicato). Moreover, we saw Hilda heating things up with Coach Diaz, played by Eddie Cibrian.
However, just when you thought you’ll have some more eye candy in the form of Coach Diaz, the face behind the hot new Hilda squeeze is said to be heading to another show! In fact, EW reports that Eddie Cibrian was recently recruited into the USA network’s The Starter Wife, where he is to play a detective investigating some suspicious events in Molly’s (Debra Messing) life. Cibrian is set to appear on the show for the three-episode arc.

The American Latino Media Arts awards, also known as the ALMAs, honor the achievements of Hispanic artists in the entertainment industry. The big winner at last night's ceremony, which was hosted by Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria Parker, was ABC's Ugly Betty. Star America Ferrera picked up the Entertainer of the Year award for her performance as Betty Suarez and for her charitable off-screen efforts, while director Linda Mendoza earned a trophy for helming the "Betty's Baby Bump" episode. In addition, the entire cast picked up a special award for having the best Latino-led ensemble on television.
Ugly Betty wasn't the only big winner at the ceremony. Stars from shows as diverse as Lost and Two and a Half Men also picked up trophies.

When The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants rocked the faces off of theatergoers in 2005, only two of the four actresses involved were well-known for their work on hit television shows. Alexis Bledel was still playing Rory on Gilmore Girls at the time, and Amber Tamblyn had made a name for herself as the title character on Joan of Arcadia. When The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 hit theaters last week, the other two members of the foursome stole the spotlight. Blake Lively is now uber-famous for her work as Serena van der Woodsen on Gossip Girl, and America Ferrera is the one and only Ugly Betty.
Last week, Ferrera and Lively appeared on the morning show Good Day L.A. to talk about the film, but things quickly got derailed in favor of Gossip Girl dish. If the hilarious clip that was highlighted on The Soup is any indication, Ferrera may be tired of hearing about the CW series.

While some fans may be disappointed at the effects of the production of Ugly Betty moving to New York to film the series, the producers are giving them a treat to lighten up the mood. Now that the production has settled in comfortably into the new city, the show has been welcoming a list of new guest stars to appear in the upcoming season of Ugly Betty. In fact, fans will get a glimpse of two morning TV hosts who will grace the set of the series very soon.
ABC has announced that Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa will be appearing in the third season of Ugly Betty, where they will play themselves, and have a couple of Meades as their guests.

This isn't a very awe-inspiring category, but one interesting sub-plot is that, for the first time ever, cast members from Saturday Night Live have become eligible for nomination in the acting awards and, as a result, Amy Poehler made the short list for nomination. Something to keep an eye on.

On the season ender of Ugly Betty, we saw Betty (America Ferrera) picking up the phone to call either Henry (Christopher Gorham) or Gio (Freddy Rodriguez). While season 3 will certainly give resolution to the romantic cliffhanger that left fans mulling for months as Betty's decision between her two love interests will finally be revealed, her choice might not turn out to be one that viewers had hoped for.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, one of Betty's love interests has been tapped to star on CBS' midseason drama, which means that he'll be departing the ABC series.
