As reported previously, Eva Marcille is making the transition from reality TV star models to daytime drama actress. The third season winner of America's Next Top Model will join the cast of The Young and the Restless on Wednesday, June 25, along with Jamia Simone Nash, who is credited for the film August Rush.
Eva Marcille, formerly known as Eva Pigford, will be playing a character named Tyra Hamilton, which is quite a reference to America's Next Top Model host Tyra Banks. She'll be serving as the aunt of Devon (Bryton McClure) and a single mother to daughter Ana, played by Jamia Simone Nash. Devon will reportedly be reunited with them at Lily's (Christel Khalil) 21st birthday party.

Little Richard is no stranger to the soap world. The legendary entertainer has performed and officiated at Nora (Hillary B. Smith) and Bo's (Robert S. Woods) wedding on One Life to Live in June 1995 and now, he will once again return to daytime TV to witness another couple exchange their vows.

Fans have been eagerly waiting to watch soap veteran Finola Hughes, who famously played Anna Devane on General Hospital, in a four-episode story arc on CBS' The Young and the Restless as Zara, the flirty, opportunistic mother of Sabrina, played by Raya Meddine. The character is due to arrive in Genoa City on June 19, just in time for Sabrina's wedding to mega-mogul Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). Unfortunately, that's not going to happen anymore.
According to TV Guide, the 47-year-old actress has graciously bowed out at the request of ABC executives to drop out of her Young and the Restless role. This has reportedly left CBS executives fuming.

Almost every month, a breakthrough singer graces The Young and the Restless to add zest to a particular storyline and promote some charted hits. Following the guest appearance of country music singer-songwriter Trace Adkins early last month, another music artist is set to make her debut on the long-running soap.
Katy Perry, whose "I Kissed a Girl" music video recently peaked at number 2 on iTunes Top 100, is scheduled to appear on The Young and the Restless on June 12. According to Soap Opera Digest, the 23-year-old singer-songwriter will be appearing as herself in scenes with Joshua Morrow (Nick), Michelle Stafford (Phyllis), Peter Bergman (Jack) and Sharon Case (Sharon), when she poses for a photo shoot for the second cover of Restless Style.

As we approach the day of Victor (Eric Braeden) and Sabrina's (Raya Meddine) wedding, fans can expect more visitors to arrive in Genoa City. Among those who will drop by is Cynthia Sikes, who has been cast as Sabrina's mother, Zara, on The Young and the Restless.
According to Soap Opera Digest, Sikes has already started filming her scenes on Tuesday and is set to make her debut on The Young and the Restless on June 19, in time for her daughter's wedding to Victor.

Ever since the first issue of Restless Style was released, the fashion magazine has been selling like hotcakes in Genoa City. Now, The Young and the Restless has launched a corresponding online magazine for fans of the long-time soap to enjoy.
For those who are not familiar, Restless Style is the brainchild of four people who combined their creative juices to create a fashion and lifestyle magazine. Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), former CEO of Jabot Cosmetics, was looking for a new outlet for his resources, while Nicholas Newman (Joshua Morrow) had recently left a career in his family's business, Newman Enterprises, and was longing for a creative venture. Another founding member is Nicholas' wife, Phyllis (Michelle Stafford), a former website expert at both Newman and Jabot Cosmetics. Her contribution was vital in the development Restless Style as both print and online magazine, while Sharon Abbot (Sharon Case) brought her knowledge of the fashion industry and her experience as spokesperson for the "Beauty of Nature" cosmetics line on board as well.

This week, more guest-stars will be gracing the fictional city of Genoa. Following the appearance of Diane Salinger as Jamie on Monday's episode of The Young and the Restless, two more actors are bound to stir up more drama on the long-running soap.
Bart Mccarthy and Ivonne Coll are scheduled to appear on today's episode of The Young and the Restless. Not much has been revealed about their storyline, though according to the network, they will appear as Fred Flinn and Rosa Flinn respectively.

CBS exceeded all networks and The Young and the Restless topped all shows when nominations were announced for the 35th annual Daytime Emmy Awards, which will be held on June 20 at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood.
The leading network bagged 56 nominations, with The Young and the Restless earning 17, including a nomination for best daytime drama. PBS came in second place with 50 nominations, while ABC, which will televise the event, received 39 nominations.
