Emmy award winning series The X-Files is a science fiction television series, featuring FBI special agents Fox Mulder (played by David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (played by Gillian Anderson) as they investigate the "X-Files", cases which were left in the dark due to its paranormal nature. Mulder plays the role of the believer while Scully serves as the skeptic who tries to debunk Mulder's unconventional work. Together they try to solve the mysteries while in search of Mulder's abducted sister.
