A newspaper suspects its photographer of being a murderer when they find that he has two sets of photos of each murder, one set taken before the body was found. Scully is assigned to this case with a different partner as Kirsch's way of trying to get her out of the X-Files. The man she is investigating may have been around for quite a lot longer than expected.
