After more than thirty years in television, The View co-host Barbara Walters was finally given one of the most prestigious honors in the entertainment industry: a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Walters’ star was situated on the sidewalk in front of the Kodak Theater and sandwiched between those for American Idol host Ryan Seacrest and musical group Destiny’s Child.

On Monday’s episode of The View, Barbara Walters talked about the phone call that hotel heiress Paris Hilton made to her Sunday afternoon.
Walters spoke of Hilton’s emotional and mental state, saying that she “sounded tired but totally aware of what she was saying.”

After a heated and televised debate with former The View co-host Rosie O’Donnell, Elisabeth Hasselbeck has once again spoken her mind, this time about Paris Hilton’s reassignment from jail to her home early Thursday morning.
“I think we learned when you're rich and you're hot... the legal system will let you off the hook," Hasselbeck said on the popular all-female morning talk show. "And I think it's disgusting. I really do."

Rosie O’Donnell’s early departure from The View has left viewers with the question, what’s next for Rosie? The 45-year old TV personality is actually headed for a change in direction with her new endeavor, a rock tour.
O’Donnell, who recently got in a heated dispute with The View co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck on last Wednesday’s episode, has decided to leave the The View prior the expiration of her contract in June. Now, she plans to join friend Cyndi Lauper on a series of dates for Lauper’s rock tour. The tour is set to begin next week.

After the heated dispute between Rosie O’Donnell and co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck on last Wednesday’s episode of The View, O’Donnel decided to depart from the multi-Emmy award-winning daytime television talk show.
ABC announced on Friday, that O’Donnell would not be able to finish her contract, which was supposed to be until June 21, 2007. According to the network, she requested for an earlier leave on May 25. Consequently, the network approved her request.

Rosie O’Donnell, host of The View, had already made public about her plans to leave the said talk show next month. With her short stint on The View, she already faced a string of controversies in the form of feuds with other TV personalities like Donald Trump. Most recently, she got engaged in another dispute, this time with The View co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck.
The morning talk show got heated up during Wednesday’s episode when O’Donnell and Hasselbeck were debating on issues about politics, which eventually led to a personal feud.

Although Heather Mills already left town immediately following her elimination from ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, the 39-year old celebrity was still followed by buzzing news. It was reported that Mills went back to England despite having several scheduled guest appearances on television in the United States.
According to the New York Post, Mills was supposed to appear on The Jimmy Kimmel Show and The View, immediately following her elimination on Dancing with the Stars on Tuesday night. Having a change of heart, she decided to just do an interview with Extra, taped Good Morning America and expressed her gratitude towards the cast and crew of Dancing with the Stars.

After the controversial exchange of rants of The Apprentice’s Donald Trump and The View’s Rosie O’Donnell, another controversy surfaced the news. This time it involved a framed set of undergarments worn by O’Donnell in the 1994 movie Exit to Eden.
According to E! News, Trump got the girdle-like garment from a fan that purchased it at a charity auction and had it sent to the real estate tycoon. Trump explained to the New York Post, “I sent it to Barbara [Walters] to hang in her office because I didn't want it in mine. It was funny, except that it was really gross. It's disgusting. I feel sorry for [Rosie's] wife. It can't be pleasant."
