Last week on The Real Housewives of New York City, Jill took Allyson for some back-to-school shopping, and then went with LuAnn to take their daughters to a Seventeen Magazine party. Ramona attended a Fashion Week show, where she bumped into Jill. Avery expressed her interest in acting while Alex and Simon prepared Francois for pre-kindergarten.

It's been a week since The Real Housewives of New York City took to the air. The spin-off of The Real Housewives of Orange County, which ended its third season over a month ago, has received rather mixed reviews at this early stage.
One of the Orange County housewives thinks The Real Housewives of New York City aren't too different from her and her Orange County gal pals. Meanwhile, a noted television critic from the Big Apple's Daily News doesn't think the women on The Real Housewives of New York City are fair representations of anything remotely close to the definition of a housewife at all.

Just over a month since The Real Housewives of Orange County wrapped up its third season on Bravo, its spin-off The Real Housewives of New York City debuts at 11 tonight. Yes, the voyeuristic look into the lush lifestyles of the rich and soon-to-be famous women of the Big Apple begins late this evening.
The Real Housewives of New York City takes a close look at five women, who, ironically, are anything but mere housewives. With the exception of LuAnn de Lesseps, the four other women – Alex McCord, Bethenny Frankel, Jill Zarin and Ramona Singer, all have enterprises and ventures that take up as much of their time as their domestic responsibilities.

Five New York women will bask in the spotlight as Bravo brings forth The Real Housewives of New York City, the hyped spin-off reality series of The Real Housewives of Orange County. Among the women featured on the series, LuAnn de Lesseps distinctly emerges in the limelight as a real-life Countess.
LuAnn de Lesseps, who is currently married to a French aristocrat Alexandre Count de Lesseps, takes great pride in her Countess title given the prestige and history her husband's family have bestowed upon the country. As part of the noble family whose dynasty is credited for the Suez Canal, she has travel extensively around the world, helps various charities and teaches etiquette on morning television shows. And now that she will be featured on the reality series The Real Housewives of New York City, more people can learn about her life as a Countess.

Bravo is heading to the Big Apple for the spin-off series of the hit reality show The Real Housewives of Orange County. Dubbed The Real Housewives of New York City, the spin-off will follow an elite and powerful group of New York socialites as they attempt to balance their careers and home lives with tight schedules full of charity fund-raising galas, social calls at the Hamptons and interviews for prime private schools.
"This series will explore the personal and professional lives of five ambitious women who in the upper crust of New York," Frances Berwick, Bravo's EVP of programming and production, said. "The Real Housewives of Orange County continues to thrive and this series will explore many of the same relatable issues relationships, children, and work-life balance while giving a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to make it in the privileged world of Manhattan society."
