Bravo is heading to the Big Apple for the spin-off series of the hit reality show The Real Housewives of Orange County.  Dubbed The Real Housewives of New York City, the spin-off will follow an elite and powerful group of New York socialites as they attempt to balance their careers and home lives with tight schedules full of charity fund-raising galas, social calls at the Hamptons and interviews for prime private schools. "This series will explore the personal and professional lives of five ambitious women who in the upper crust of New York," Frances Berwick, Bravo‘s EVP of programming and production, said.  "The Real Housewives of Orange County continues to thrive and this series will explore many of the same relatable issues relationships, children, and work-life balance while giving a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to make it in the privileged world of Manhattan society." Read more »
Five New York women will bask in the spotlight as Bravo brings forth The Real Housewives of New York City, the hyped spin-off reality series of The Real Housewives of Orange County.  Among the women featured on the series, LuAnn de Lesseps distinctly emerges in the limelight as a real-life Countess. LuAnn de Lesseps, who is currently married to a French aristocrat Alexandre Count de Lesseps, takes great pride in her Countess title given the prestige and history her husband‘s family have bestowed upon the country.  As part of the noble family whose dynasty is credited for the Suez Canal, she has travel extensively around the world, helps various charities and teaches etiquette on morning television shows. Just over a month since The Real Housewives of Orange County wrapped up its third season on Bravo, its spin-off The Real Housewives of New York City debuts at 11 tonight.  Yes, the voyeuristic look into the lush lifestyles of the rich and soon-to-be famous women of the Big Apple begins late this evening. It‘s been a week since The Real Housewives of New York City took to the air.  The spin-off of The Real Housewives of Orange County, which ended its third season over a month ago, has received rather mixed reviews at this early stage. Fans would be happy to know that The Real Housewives of New York will be returning with a second season later this year.  In fact, resident New York housewife Jill Zarin revealed in her blog that they are indeed coming back, despite the fact that nothing has been put into paper as of the moment.“We have not signed on yet but the RHNYC is definitely coming back,” Jill Zarin, who recently attended the NBC Upfronts event, wrote on her official website.  “It is too soon to set your TIVO as filming won‘t start until this summer.” Read more »
