ABC announced last month that it would be bringing back its critically-acclaimed but low-rated drama series, The Nine, and tonight, the first of the shows six final episodes will air on the network.

After officially taking The Nine off the air due to poor ratings, ABC has decided to revive the remaining episodes of the crime drama series. Beginning Wednesday, August 1, the formerly axed show will return to its 10pm niche as it previously occupied last fall.

Lost is the most intellectually taxing program on network television. It takes the full concentration of the viewer, who must recall information from the entire run of the show and actively attempt to figure out what the hell is going at least a couple of times per episode. Before BravoTVs BrilliantButCanceled, there was no reason to root for shows to fail. Well, unless youre a terrible, terrible person like me (or, possibly, you). I always root for shows to fail miserably, even when Ive never even seen an episode of said show. But, there are fundamental truths to life, and one of them is this: New TV shows will be taken off the air unceremoniously and without remorse, like a court jester banished to the guillotine.
