Update: Contract negotiations resume between 20th Century Fox TV and reps for the Modern Family cast.  Modern Family cast members Ty Burrell, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Eric Stonestreet, Julie Bowen and Sofia Vergara have filed a lawsuit against 20th Century Fox TV in attempt to renegotiate their contracts and boost their salaries. According to Deadline.com, the five actors didn‘t show up for the table read scheduled Tuesday morning, leading 20th TV to cancel the session that would have marked the start of production of the Emmy-winning comedy series‘ fourth season. Read more »
Aliens are funny. If you agree with the above statement, you will probably like The Neighbors. If you don‘t, well... Let‘s just say that some people aren‘t into shows about alien life forms sharing suburbia with a standard sitcom family.I personally think aliens are quite funny. When history looks back at the 2012-2013 TV season, it might be considered the year the sitcom died. ABC has been a little late to the game in terms of announcements for the 2013-2014 TV season. While the other four major networks have revealed almost all of their renewals, cancellations and new pick-ups, ABC has been completely silent. Until now.The network has officially renewed many returning shows, including freshman hit Nashville and bubble comedy Suburgatory. Sadly, it also cancelled one of the funniest shows on TV, the low-rated Happy Endings, as well as five other shows. It has also picked up the high-profile series Marvel‘s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. produced by Joss Whedon, the Rebel Wilson comedy Super Fun Night and more. Read more »
