Just like her character Sami Brady on Days of our Lives, Alison Sweeney is pregnant and due to give birth to her second child.  Recently, the 31-year-old actress made a guest appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on December 3 and appeared to be going into labor during her interview with Ellen.  While an online report suggested that The Biggest Loser host actually went into labor, a rep for the actress said it was merely part of the show.

"I was a guest on Ellen and they asked me if I would help them play a practical joke. I have learned since then that when they reveal the 12 days of [Christmas] giveaways, they try and set up a stunt that ends up being cut off or not happening because a bell rings and then out comes a dancing character and Ellen gives away these amazing gifts to the audience. So, they asked me if I would start to feel labor pains and asked me to do it coming out of the commercial break,” Sweeney explained to Soap Opera Digest.

After nearly four years as a couple, daytime talk show host and comedienne Ellen DeGeneres (The Ellen DeGeneres Show) and actress Portia de Rossi tied the knot Saturday night in an intimate ceremony attended by only 19 guests, including DeGeneres' mother Betty and de Rossi's mother Margaret Rogers, who flew all the way from her native Australia just to witness the occasion.

DeGeneres, 50, and de Rossi, 35, exchanged rings and vows in the backyard for their Beverly Hills home.  The couple's spokesperson confirmed the news to People.com. "Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi were married tonight in an intimate ceremony at their home in Los Angeles."

It was certainly a day of celebration for gay men and women anywhere in the state, when the California Supreme Court lifted the ban on gay marriage.  In its decision, California Chief Justice Ron George reiterated that, “limiting the designation of marriage to a union ‘between a man and a woman’ is unconstitutional and must be stricken from the statute.”

Actress Ellen DeGeneres is partaking in the fun, as she announces she plans on organizing a “dream wedding” with girlfriend of four years Portia de Rossi.  The host of The Ellen DeGeneres Show made the announcement backstage at the Kodak Theater after winning her fourth consecutive Daytime Emmy for talk show last Friday.

Ellen DeGeneres is engaged.  On the same day California's Supreme Court overturned the state's gay marriage ban, Ellen made the announcement Thursday, on The Ellen DeGeneres Show: she and her partner Portia de Rossi (Arrested Development) are getting married.  DeGeneres and de Rossi have been going out for quite some time, and when Ellen announced the news in front of her audience, they cheered wildly.  Portia was in the crowd as well.  Whatever, if any, controversy this creates, Ellen is used to it.  Ellen famously "came out" on national television via her prime time sitcom (entitled “Ellen,” of course), endured a bizarre relationship with former lesbian (and possible wacko) Anne Heche, and has been as open as anyone about being gay in Hollywood.

Grammy Award-winning singer Mariah Carey and rapper Nick Cannon may have said their “I dos” in secret, but the pop star is now happily sharing the details of her nuptials, which took place on April 30 at her private estate on Windermere Island in the Bahamas.

During her appearance on yesterday's episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Carey spilled the details of her beachside ceremony, but not before boasting the rock she has been sporting, which Cannon designed himself.
