Sure, contestants on The Biggest Loser say that they're only there to lose the weight. In most ways, it's true. They leave the competition literally half their size and virtually unrecognizable! Most head home to their families and live the quiet life they led before becoming a reality tv star. For others, though, there's a bigger plan. Besides appearing at various charity events, many Biggest Loser contestants try to share their knowledge with fans and others struggling with weight. Some even become personal trainers. Today, we take a look at some past contestants to see how life has changed for them and what they've been up to.

On last night's episode of The Biggest Loser, host Alison Sweeney was just full of surprises for the contestants. First, she took them on a road trip to The Grand Canyon, where they had to camp out for a few days without their trainers. Then, at the weigh in, she informed them that only one team would fall below the yellow line and that would be the only team up for elimination. Whoever had the lowest percentage of weight loss would have to decide which team member would head home and which one would continue on in the competition. That was a decision no one wanted to make but unfortunately, one that the yellow team was faced with. In an emotional elimination ceremony, Jerry Skeabeck said goodbye his daughter, Coleen, and headed home. Today, he spoke to BuddyTV in an exclusive interview.

When we last left the contestants on The Biggest Loser, host Alison Sweeney surprised them with the news that they're going on a road trip to The Grand Canyon. Everyone is hoping for a nice, fun, relaxing vacation but this is The Biggest Loser we're talking about. The bus they're riding in is pulled over by an RV, containing Alison Sweeney, who lets them know that most of them will be camping out tonight. However, two contestants will get to sleep in that luxury RV if they win the challenge. Alison brings everyone into a mini-mart, where they'll have to guess how many calories are in a variety of snacks. The team that gets three correct will win. There's a twist, though. The team that guesses wrong will have to eat the snack. Some people opt out, avoiding any temptation or the possibility of extra pounds at the weigh in, while others played on!

Each time The Biggest Loser launches a nationwide casting search for their latest season, thousands of people show up at the casting calls and submit videos. They’re all hoping to make it onto the show, to work with Bob and Jillian, to change their lives, and to become the person they’ve always wanted to be. What happens to those, though, who don’t make it? How can they still get in shape and shed some pounds? For one, The Biggest Loser has a club online where fans can get tips and share success stories with one another. The show is on a mission to make sure that everyone, not just their contestants, can get into shape. This week, Bob Harper talked to the Los Angeles Daily News, offering advice to anyone who is looking to start their own fitness program.

Fans of The Biggest Loser know that the second week is always toughest on the contestants. They seem to drop huge numbers in the first week and hardly anything in the second. The body is still trying to adjust to the amount of exercise and healthy food it’s getting. Coleen and Jerry made a bet, in a challenge, that they would lose 14 pounds. If they were successful, they’d win $10,000 but if they weren’t, they’d automatically fall below the yellow line. Together, the dropped 11 and, had they not made the bet, they would’ve ended in 3rd place this week. Yet, it was Tom and LT, the grey team, that ended up getting sent home after a shocking weigh in. Today, LT (Little Tom) spoke to BuddyTV about his weight gain, his elimination, and his relationship with his dad.

On tonight’s episode of The Biggest Loser, the contestants learned about the dreaded second week curse. The second week is almost always where players pull their lowest numbers. The players met up with host Alison Sweeney, who oversaw a bidding war for the contestants to predict how much weight they would lose this week. Jillian was shocked when she found out that Coleen and Jerry placed a bet and would have to lose 14 pounds. If they don’t, they’ll automatically fall below the yellow line but if they win, they’ll get $10,000.

This season, on The Biggest Loser, contestants are family members competing in pairs. Biggest Loser trainers Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels hand-picked their teams and personally delivered the news to each pair. Bob took on the parents and children, while Jillian decided to work with husbands and wives. At the first weigh in, two of Jilliam’s teams, Heba and Ed and Stacey and Adam, fell below the yellow line and were up for elimination. The teams decided to send Stacey and Adam home, perhaps feeling that Heba and Ed had a better work ethic. Now that everyone has been weighed in, worked out, and started losing weight, which teams will be the last ones standing at the very end?

Last night, The Biggest Loser kicked off its 6th season with contestants competing in pairs. Bob Harper led the teams of husbands and wives while Jillian took on parents and their children. Among the husbands and wives were Stacey and Adam, of Washington D.C. The two made it onto the show but unfortunately, their time was cut short when they were the first team eliminated. Stacey may have lost 9 pounds at the weigh in, but it wasn't enough compared to the double digits the rest of the women pulled. Up against Heba and Ed, the orange team, the contestants decided that the green team would be the first to go and today, they spoke to BuddyTV in an exclusive interview!
