Among the new programs slated to begin this fall is the quirky comedy called The Big Bang Theory. The show, which is scheduled to premiere on CBS come September 24, is the latest offering from writer/producer/director Chuck Lorre.
The Big Bang Theory revolves around two science nerds who know everything imaginable in the world of physics but are completely lost when it comes to romance, dating and women. The show is the newest brainchild from Lorre, who is responsible for two of television's most recent hit comedy series. The sitcom The Big Bang Theory has been picked up by CBS, and has been slated to fill in the network’s 8:30 Monday night timeslot this coming fall. The series is created by Chuck Lorre, who was also behind another CBS comedy, Two and a Half Men.
The premise of the show revolves around two friends, Leonard and Sheldon, whose passion for and intellect in quantum physics hasn’t necessarily helped them figure out the complex subject of women. To their rescue is Penny, the attractive next-door neighbor, who, after recently surviving a nasty break-up, is more than happy to teach the two geniuses a thing or two about life.
