Twilley may not have been the man for DeAnna, this season on The Bachelorette, but he did provide some entertaining storylines. Early on, when he felt that DeAnna didn’t know him well enough, he hid in her bushes after a date and waited for her so that he could have a conversation with her. Between his quirky sense of humor and his motion sickness, he certainly kept viewers smiling though it was no surprise when he got sent home this past Monday. Today, Twilley spoke to reporters in a press conference call about what he could have done differently and he makes a surprising prediction for this season’s finale of The Bachelorette.

Leave it to the last episode of The Bachelorette that Twilley appeared on for me to finally warm up to him. On last night’s episode, the first hour was dedicated to an interview with DeAnna, where she addressed her relationships with the remaining men and her reasoning behind many of the dismissals. We also got to know the guys a little bit better and believe it or not, Twilley is a pretty normal guy. He started a real estate software company that is very successful and leads a pretty regular life, outside of the show. When he was sent home last night, he handled himself so well and told DeAnna that he only wished her the best. My heart warmed up to a little but it was just as he got in the limo to head home.

On tonight’s episode of The Bachelorette, the night was split into two parts. The first was DeAnna Tells All, where she fills in host Chris Harrison the reasoning behind many of her decisions. The second part features DeAnna taking the guys on a trip to Palm Springs. Everybody makes their move from Sean to Graham to Jeremy. Plus, The Bachelorette updates us on Trista and Ryan’s relationship and Trista gives her opinions about how DeAnna is doing.

Let’s just break it down. Let’s put it out there. Let’s get real. On Monday night’s episode of The Bachelorette, DeAnna wasn’t upset at the picnic because nobody was paying attention to her. DeAnna was upset at the picnic because Graham wasn’t paying attention to her. She could have cared less if Fred or Robert or Twilley or Brian were talking to her at all. Jeremy and Jason did put out an effort to engage her but because Graham was all aloof in the corner, DeAnna pitched a fitch, told the guys it “hurt her heart” that nobody wanted to talk to her, and stomped back up to her mansion.

Okay, I don’t get it. Twilley has stayed on The Bachelorette over some decent catches for weeks now. The minute he hid in her bushes after her date with Graham, he should’ve been gone yet, something keeps him there. Nothing made me happier than to see Robert go on last night’s episode. He’s a creep and a whiner. He probably shouldn’t have even been there in the first place. I was a little sad when Fred got the boot. Maybe it’s because it was so sudden. Or maybe it’s because he’s such a nice guy. Or maybe it’s because he sounds like Dan Akroyd from Tommy Boy. Whatever the reason, DeAnna still had one more guy to eliminate and instead of sending Twilley, she sent hottie football coach Brian packing instead!

On tonight’s episode of The Bachelorette, it was a battle for a one on one date with DeAnna. It wouldn’t be easy on the guys, though. They had to write and perform their own song, which made many of them nervous. Graham summed it up best, saying that he’d “rather eat glass”. The songs ranged from bad to worse, but provided a lot of entertainment. Despite only singing one note in his song, Jesse was chosen by DeAnna to go out on the date with her.

Richard Mathy seemed to be a frontrunner on season 4 of The Bachelorette. A high school teacher from New York, he captured DeAnna’s interest on the first night and received a first impression rose. Soon after, though, DeAnna’s focus shifted onto other men, like Jeremy, Jason, and Graham. Richard was left by the wayside but was given one last chance to form a connection with the bachelorette. On a one on one date, she just wasn’t feeling it anymore and stopped mid-date to send him home. Yesterday, Richard participated in a conference call with the press and the science teacher dished on his lack of chemistry with DeAnna.

With 12 seasons of The Bachelor and four seasons of The Bachelorette behind us, we only count with one hand the number of successful relationships these reality dating games has spawned. Surely, the latest and 12th season of The Bachelor gave us Shayne Lamas and Matt Grant, who admit that they are still together months after the show has ended. In fact, they’ve been rumored to be getting married as soon as next week rolls about.
Before the two lovebirds, though, there was Trista Rehn and Ryan Sutter, who emerged with a successful relationship from the first season of The Bachelorette. The two, whose December 2003 marriage was televised, have recently become proud parents of their first baby, Maxwell Alston. Now that they are a family, it seems that controversy is still at their heels.
