Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles began its season tonight with an extension of its first season finale. The action picks up literally the second the finale left off, and the entire episode takes place on the same day as the finale. It was a nice action-packed way to begin the second season, and it was also a good place for viewers new to Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles to pick up the story.
Previously on Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles – Cameron is blown to bits thanks to a car bomb from Sarkissian. Cromartie massacres twenty or so agents, though suspiciously leaves Agent Ellison alive.

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles premieres its second season tonight on FOX. We left off Terminator with a massacre at the hands of evil robot Cromartie, some nice male bonding between John Connor and Derek Reese, and good robot Cameron getting blown up on her way to buy a birthday cake. Season two will continue on with the saga of the Connor clan in one of the more underrated series on television. Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles debuted to merely OK ratings last season, though that was during the writers' strike, so the numbers were ultimately a little disappointing. But, FOX is looking for that to change with the new season. Last month, we got a chance to sit down with Thomas Dekker and Summer Glau, two of Terminator's stars, and discuss the second season. You can find the full video of the interview below.

Richard T. Jones is a man of conviction. His presence is immediately felt in any room the man walks into. Incredibly engaging and preternaturally kind, Richard T. Jones would almost be a parody of superficial love-hungry actors if he wasn't so incredibly genuine. Jones is the most over-looked main cast member of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles as Agent Ellison, the skeptical authority figure who has a past with Sarah Connor. Agent Ellison played a vital role in Terminator's season one finale, bearing witness to a brutal massacre. For some incomprehensible reason, Ellison was spared, and it is from this uncertainty that Richard T. will begin Terminator's second season. Below you will find the full video interview we conducted with Richard at the FOX Fall press junket earlier this month.

This morning, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles creator and show runner Josh Friedman joined star Lena Headey in a media conference call to talk about the upcoming season of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. The series picks up after a too-brief nine episode first season, and fan anticipation is high. The duo discussed what we can expect from season two, what direction some of the plot lines are going, and where Terminator is headed thematically. Highlights from the conference call can be found below.

Garret Dillahunt is everywhere. The highly-regarded character actor has graced our television sets in a prolific manner in previous years, appearing on ER, Book of Daniel, Deadwood, John from Cincinnati, and now Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. He's also been in some big films, including The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford and No Country For Old Men. Leven Rambin, on the other hand, is a new name, having gone from the soap opera world to landing a role on the new season of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. We got a chance to speak with the two actors in person recently at the FOX Fall Press Junket about the upcoming Terminator season.

Since being sexy is almost a requirement these days for young stars on soap operas, it's no surprise that Leven Rambin will undoubtedly win over more than her fair share of male admirers. The All My Children star joins the cast of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles for season 2 as John's new high school friend (though new doubt they'll stay just friends for long).

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles is deserving of your attention. It's surprising that the series hasn't become a bigger phenomenon. Although it was, technically, the highest rated new series of the last TV season, this has a lot to do with The Sarah Connor Chronicles premiering in the middle of the writers' strike, against no competition, and after excessive hype from FOX. The series only aired nine episodes in its first season, but those were enough to kick off a worthy extension of the Terminator mythology, while creating something entirely its own. Show runner Josh Friedman has a clear vision for the franchise, and anyone who loves action or sci-fi owes it to themselves to tune in. If you missed the first season, no problem. Starting August 10, FOX will be re-airing the season in its entirety in the weeks leading up to the fall season.
