I'm not objective about last night's episode of Supernatural. I know many of you fans loved it because of the great emotional moments with Dean (Jensen Ackles), but for me, “Long-Distance Call” will forever be the episode I got to see first-hand. I'm a bit obsessive when it comes to TV, DVRing all my schedule shows well in advance, scheduling my entire life around the many shows I have to watch (not want to, have to). So to actually see talented people create something I love so much was an experience I never though I'd have.
It doesn't hurt that I got to watch a really good show get made. Though I wasn't an original fan, I've fallen quite hard for Supernatural, and I owe it all to this job and you, the passionate fans who convinced me this show was something special.

Previously on Supernatural: Dean sold his soul to a demon to save his brother, but upon learning that humans in Hell turn into demons, Dean began searching for a way to get out of the deal.
Four weeks ago I had the pleasure of visiting the Vancouver set of Supernatural where I got to see them film scenes from tonight's episode. I toured the sets, talked to the stars and watched them film two scenes. As such, you'll have to forgive me when I geek out over stuff like the fact that I totally laid down on the Winchesters' motel bed (and before you ask, no, they weren't in it at the time).

After last week's stand-alone episode, Supernatural is back again tonight for some Dean-centric goodness.
In tonight's episode, entitled "Long-Distance Call," Dean (Jensen Ackles) is stunned after he receives a phone call from his dad (guest star Jeffrey Dean Morgan) who tells him he has a solution to get Dean out of his deal. Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean fight because Sam is skeptical that it is really John on the other end of the phone and warns Dean not to listen to him but Dean disagrees and sets off on his own path to follow his father's orders.
As soon as you finish watching tonight's episode, be sure to log onto BuddyTV because we have got another round of great prizes for you! Read on to see what you can win.

Last week's episode of Supernatural, "Ghostfacers," certainly wasn't for everyone. I proudly declared my love for Sam and Dean's reality show debut, but other fans thought that it was an unnecessary waste of time, especially coming so close to the end of the season. Those who didn't embrace "Ghostfacers" will be happy to hear that tomorrow night's episode, "Long-Distance Caller," gets back to normal and moves Dean's impending doom back to the forefront. It also features a special appearance from Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and there's not a Supernatural fan out there that isn't excited about that idea.
To prepare for "Long-Distance Caller," we have two exciting clips from the episode.

Supernatural is one of the few shows on television that revolves almost completely around two characters. This is excellent for fans of Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki, as it guarantees the actors will get plenty of screen time in almost every episode of the series. However, because the show is so reliant on the chemistry between the leads, it can have a tough time introducing new characters to the mix. For every new character that is beloved by the fans, such as Ellen or Jo, there are those like Ruby (Katie Cassidy) and Bela that cause a major uproar.
TV Guide has recently announced that fans will be saying goodbye to one major character when Supernatural season 4 launches in the fall. Will the change have a negative affect on the show, or will it help make it better than ever?

My opinion may be in the minority, but I truly believe that season 3 of Supernatural is shaping up to be the best year of the series. Fans can complain about the brighter lighting, the lack of rock music, or the existence of Ruby (Katie Cassidy) and Bela (Lauren Cohan) all they like, but none of these things have really affected my love of the show. In my eyes, Supernatural season 3 has maintained a perfect balance of epic storytelling, emotional character moments, hilarious standalone episodes, and heavy drama. Last night's installment, "Ghostfacers," was another example of creator Eric Kripke and his writers firing on all cylinders. It's impossible not to love an episode that contains the immortal line, "All this time you were teaching us about heart, about dedication, and about how gay love can pierce through the veil of death and save the day."

Previously on Supernatural: Dean and Sam met the Hell Hounds, two lovable losers with a fondness for Ghostbusters and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Finally new Supernatural episodes are back, and in an interesting twist, the show is putting the main storyline about Dean's fate on hold for a fun stand-alone episode. So let's all enjoy the geeky pleasure of the pilot episode for a new ghost hunting show, Ghostfacers.

Supernatural comes back tonight for a brand new episode, but I didn't need to tell you all that. I'm sure most of you have been anxiously anticipating tomorrow night (and reading all about BuddyTV's visit to the Supernatural set, naturally). And so, it is with great pleasure that I announce to you that we have a very special contest to celebrate this most Supernatural of occasions. We are giving away an autographed photo of Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki. Both of them graciously provided their autographs for us when BuddyTV senior writer, John Kubicek, went up to hang with them on the set of Supernatural.
Tonight's brand-new episode at 9pm on the CW, called “Ghostfacers,” is a huge departure for the series. Shot using only hand-held cameras, the whole episode is filmed as if it's a pilot for a new Ghost Hunters-like show, hosted by Ed and Harry, two nerdy wannabe demon hunters the Winchesters met in season 1. “Ghostfacers” will certainly blend the show's horror elements with touches of comedy, inevitably leading to some hilarious quotes.
