Roseanne is a Golden Globe and Emmy Award-winning sitcom shown by ABC, with its title taken from its starring comedienne Roseanne Barr. It revolves around the lives of the working-class Conner family in the fictitious town of Lanford, Illinois as they struggle to make ends meet. Roseanne Conner (Roseanne Barr) is a dominant and bossy woman, who tries to be in control yet also works hard. On the other hand, her husband Dan (John Goodman) is an easygoing and laid-back man who provides a loving contrast for his aggressive wife. The show has tackled issues such as sex, alcoholism, masturbation, feminism, and homosexuality.
