While I‘ve been somewhat annoyed with the producers of Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious for some of the more obviously-manipulated elements of the show, I will concede they have a tough job as the show nears its conclusion.

Carrie was one of the more vocally impressive contestants on Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious, but creator Robin Antin has continuously reminded us that it takes more than a great voice to make it into the group.  She‘s looking for girls who can sing, dance, and also blend together into a cohesive whole.  This week the judges decided that Carrie stood out too much with her rocker girl edge, and it was finally time for her to have her feather boa taken away.

Last night, we didn‘t have a new episode of Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious (you can just consider my premature elimination prediction column to be me doing my homework in advance for once!). Instead we had something that I can‘t help but think of as the Legacy of Tyra Banks: an episode constructed entirely of the bits that weren‘t good enough to make it into the show in the first place.

There appears to be a lot of viewers out there who have yet to tune in to Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious.  The CW reality competition has averaged only a few million viewers per week, proving that the country may not be ready for another sexed up girl group.  Or perhaps America is just too wrapped up in that other big singing competition that‘s happening on the FOX network.  If you‘re one of the people who has been curious about the show but has yet to tune in, you‘ll definitely want to check out tonight‘s hour-long recap special.  The episode will include highlights from the first six episodes of the series, as well as unseen catfights and other outtakes.
