Michael Scofield ended Prison Break's third season in an interesting position. Convinced that his brother and nephew would be okay without him, he parted ways with them. Unaware that his good friend, Fernando Sucre, is trapped in Sona, Michael is only focused on exacting revenge on The Company for killing his love, Sara, who is not really dead at all. What is interesting about Michael is that he is always focused on saving someone or avenging someone's death. Yet, as he tries to accomplish one goal, more things get in the way and fuel his superhero complex. Can Michael ever find peace?

Fans were shocked late last week when TV Guide broke the story that Prison Break would be resurrecting Dr. Sara Tancredi, who they supposedly killed off early in season 3. The resurrection is more metaphorical than physical, since the writers are now saying that it was never her head in the box that Lincoln found, courtesy of The Company. After a contract dispute between Sarah Wayne Callies and the show, her character was abruptly removed from the show. Now, it seems that all is well in the land of contracts and money, and Callies is set to return for season 4. Prison Break executive producer Matt Olmstead spoke to E! Online about what this means for Michael and Sara.

When Lincoln found Sara's head in a box early on in Prison Break's third season, fans were shocked and outraged. Many claimed that they wouldn't watch the show anymore. Every major television news source promised that Sara was good and dead, never to return. However, this week TV Guide reported that the Prison Break writers and producers were sneaky little ones and would bring back Sara (and the actress who plays her, Sarah Wayne Callies) for season 4. BuddyTV readers reacted strongly to the news but the majority was overjoyed and felt this plot twist would give the show new life.

Last year, Prison Break star Sarah Wayne Callies got into a contract dispute which ended in her character's untimely death. Fans of the television show were outraged, particularly at the way Dr. Sara Tancredi was killed. Early on in season 3, Lincoln was shocked to find Sara's head in a box, courtesy of The Company. She was killed after Lincoln attempted a daring rescue attempt to free her as well as his son, LJ. Well, Prison Break fans, all is not what it seems. TV Guide released a huge story today from columnist Michael Ausiello and Prison Break executive producer Matt Olmstead that says: Dr. Sara is still alive and returning in season 4!

Good news, Prison Break fans! After weeks of dancing around the issue, Fox has officially announced that the show will return for a fourth season. After having its third season cut short because of the writer’s strike, Prison Break will return with as many as 23 episodes, according to Variety. Season 4 will pick up where we left off, following Michael as he plans revenge against The Company, Lincoln as he reunites with his son and tries to disappear, and Sucre as he adjusts to life as a Sona prisoner with T-Bag and Bellick.

Just because Prison Break is on hiatus doesn’t mean that its stars get much time off for themselves. The show airs all over the world and its stars have been traveling to promote the show. Late last month, Dominic Purcell flew to Ireland to talk Prison Break. Today, Wentworth Miller was spotted in Paris, just one of many stops on his worldwide press tour. Dressed casually and comfortably, the actor wandered the streets of Paris today with a business associate and a female friend. Last week, Miller was in Israel, not only to promote Prison Break, but also the launch of the country’s new YES HD channel. There, he confirmed that the show would return for a fourth season.

It seems that Prison Break is headed full steam ahead for its 4th season. Last week, BuddyTV posed the question: Does the show really need another season or is it time to wrap things up? The characters are scattered in several places and, let’s face it. We’ve seen Michael break out of prison – more than once. How many times can we see someone pull that off? We asked the BuddyTV readers what they thought. Despite some mixed opinions, overall, people arrived at the same conclusion.

While many female viewers may prefer the soft, pretty features of co-star Wentworth Miller, it is Dominic Purcell's strength and manliness that puts Prison Break over the top. Lincoln Burrows, in spite of facing insurmountable odds as a falsely accused murderer, was more concerned with the well-being of his own son than himself. He's willing to walk into danger and take every chance just to save his son, and that love and loyalty makes him ever hotter.
